The best Chinese food in the area. Consistently delicious. Worth the trip from Roxborough any day. Disadvantages are the parking and the month of July. There's an ongoing construction project in the rear parking lot so you can't park in the back, which means you have to park in the Acme parking lot and go for a long walk, depending on the time of day. Also, Szechuan Express is closed for the month of July.

So while in Philadelphia for a month for work I have been keeping close to the place I'm staying at not wanting to fight traffic. So I found this little place and was really surprised how good the food is here. Let me explain that in Virginia where I am from we have some of the absolute worst Chinese food the world has to offer so this really was an extremely pleasant surprise.
I had the chicken with garlic sauce and it had a good hot spicy flavor to it. The egg roll was good I've had better and worse. What I really like was getting brown rice. Back home it's fried or white I always prefer brown. I will check it out again before leaving. -

Been going to Szechuan Express for years, always a friendly experience and great food. Honestly my favorite chinese take out place and i'll always recommend to others. My favorite dish is the chicken and broccoli, it never disappoints.

Our family has been ordering food from here for 20 years. It's ALWAYS good. Consistently the same. Exactly what we expect every time we go. Never disappointed. This is the only store we get Chinese food from!! Your tummy will be happy :)
